Hello there (again) :)

Hi! I am back! There is ONE really good thing about this isolation situation we have going on here in Finland! I have a lot of time. A lot of time to READ... I have chosen to choose only the best books. The best of the best, in fact. Which includes, most definitely: The Bible :) Sometimes I get really excited and read a lot in the Holy Scriptures. Mostly, I have difficulties concentrating. I have mild asperger and mild ADHD. They make me sometimes loose focus. Or it is just hard to concentrate. It is like a slug in your brain. Or a blanket, cotton ball or something... BUT! I am going to continue trying to read the Bible. I find it the easiest to read and listen at the same time. That way I can focus more easily. I do not have the audio versions in Finnish or Swedish, only English. That is a shame... Today I am going to plan ahead and think about how many chapters a week/a day I want to read. More later!

Hello there!

Hi! I haven't read the Bible in a while... Not like a complete chapter. A little here and there. I have decided to start over, from Genesis. I have such a dilemma. I have many copies of the Bible. In Swedish, Finnish and English... I am trying to decide which language I am going to read the Bible in. It is tough. It is almost impossible to choose. I think I will read mostly in English and/or Swedish... More later! :)

HI!!!

Hello There! How are you, dear reader? Now that I have started this journey, I am really happy and grateful my friend V is helping me and cheering me on. We have decided to read the Bible together. She lives in another city, but we keep in touch almost daily. She is a teacher! That is so cool. She knows many languages. I think her blog about the Bible will be either Swedish or Finnish. I will link her blog here later, I just have to ask her first. :) The Bible is an important book for me. I believe it is the word of God. I do not know it as well as I would like to. Hence, this project lol. My favorite book in the Bible (so far) is Esther and also Ruth. I have read many of the shorter books in the Old Testament. I have like three Bibles in Swedish, different versions and translations, three Bibles in Finnish, same, different kinds of Bibles. One Swedish and one Finnish Bible also has the apocryphic books too. (I don not know how to spell it, sorreee...) lol I have read the first boo

First week :)

Hello! :) Last week I read and listened to Matt. 1-3. I usually listen to the scriptures I am reading, at the same time as I read, so that it "sticks" better. The site I use to listen to the Bible is: https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/scriptures/ot/title-page?lang=eng There is only the scriptures read in English... :( So, I usually read all my scripture studies in English. The Bible I read is the King James Version. This is one of my two "mini quads" lol. I know, it looks huge, but it's not. I have decided to read this because it's easy to take with you. So, I'm really slow at reading intimidating books... lol. Let's see how long it takes... The trouble with this blog is, that it is almost like a "book report" and I am really bad at those... In school and at the University, I never wrote anything any teacher really liked. Or maybe I was too hard on myself. I don't know. So, I am going to start things slow, and &qu

Welcome to my journey!

Hi there! Welcome to my Brand-New Blog! This will be about me and The Bible. Or, more specifically, me reading the Bible from cover to cover. This is something I have been wanting to do for a long time. I read the NT when I was a teenager, I have read bit and pieces and whole books etc. for years, but never completely, from cover to cover. The Old Testament is intimidating. It's huge. I just want to tackle this challenge and learn everything I can. I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. No, we do not like to be called "mormons" or "LDS" or something else. lol. We use the real name of the Church. And yes, we are Christians. Whatever someone else likes to tell you. We believe in Christ. We try to follow Him to the best of our abilities. Me and my friend are reading and studying the Bible together this year, or as long as it takes to read it. This week we are starting with Matthew 1-3. I haven't read it yet, I will update my
